I made an avatar on Gaia a while ago, and while making it, I made a story of it. Well, kinda.
This dragon is old. Older than old. And is nigh unkillable. Through magic and DOOM it has survived the ages. Any shadow the dragon casts shows it in a former glory when it had skin and scales. The eyes glow on the shadow, and you can even see a faint trace of a smile still red with what may be blood... on a shadow? Yes.
The floor is flat, mind you. But it ripples beneath the surface with the vast magic energy the dragon has. The flame houses the dragons souls, as does the shadow. This is the dragon's personal case.
Or would it be a wyrm? It has wings, and two arms. It lacks back-legs. Either from birth or a long lost fight (hip bones are still there). Who knows. It does. We don't.
The blood... because... blood? Well, maybe from a sacrifice. Maybe from food- errr.. yeah... that would still be a sacrifice to sustain it.... Maybe it always drips blood. Tattered wings and the like.
I quite enjoyed doing this piece.
From a silly avatar came something I thought would be sinister and awesome.
